The Tip Off Sports Vikings basketball club is proud to announce that one of our own, Kgosietsile Mosinki, will be taking his considerable basketball talents to Wesley Christian High School in the United States as he furthers his studies.

The point guard with two guard skills, presents a challenge to any defender who attempts to contain him on offense. Fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game, the left handed “Kgosie”, slashes to the rim effortlessly for buckets for his team. A consistent perimeter shooter, he’s always looking to provide an assist to his teammates. Defensively, the rangy athlete is a lockdown defender on the outside and contributes to getting rebounds and blocking shots in the paint as well.

Kgosietsile has been a standout member of the club since 2012. A constant feature at EVERY camp since he started playing basketball with us in his 4th grade. He has been eager to learn, focused and determined. Kgosietsile is one of three Mosinki brothers who have contributed greatly to the club’s many successes. His twin brother Kgosiemang and younger sibling Oratile represent the Vikings to the high standard that has come to be expected in the SA basketball community.

Kgosietsile joins an ever increasing number of Vikings seizing the opportunity to take what they have learned through the club beyond the borders of South Africa. Previously, Jonathan Baruti put himself on the international radar with outstanding play that ultimately landed him at Central Park Christian in Alabama, USA. Jonathan is now playing and enjoying much success at a nationally renown junior college program in New Jersey, USA.

Most recently in 2018 another alumni of the club, Dino Basilico left SA for the shores of the US to attend St Louis Christian in St Louis, Missouri. Dino is set to return US where he will be transferring to De Smet Jesuit High School in Missouri to complete his senior year of studies and basketball there this year.

The tradition is solid at Tip Off Sports and the future is bright!

Congratulations Kgotsietsile, we wish you all the best in your studies and your continued development in the game. You epitomize the vision of what can be accomplished through basketball here at Tip Off Sports….SALUTE!
